Where the adventure runs.

Four bodies of water are live today: the Blanco and Cypress Creek in Wimberley, the San Marcos through Martindale, the Guadalupe and Canyon Lake at New Braunfels, and the Pedernales at Johnson City. Coastal fishing out of Matagorda and Sargent is next, along with Dallas and North Texas. What is listed under each one is an example, not a limit.

Home water, and the easiest day to run. Short shuttles, small falls, and a swimming hole you can walk into. This is also where our one set expedition runs.

Five hours, start to finish

How an expedition day actually runs.

    Before the day

    We confirm the route, book the zip line and kayak slots, load the gear, and text you the pickup window. Nothing for you to arrange.

  2. 2

    We pick you up

    Your driver comes to your place in the morning, wherever you are staying near Wimberley. The gear rides with us, so you just bring water shoes and a change of clothes.

  3. 3

    Zip line first

    You start up high with a zip line session over the Hill Country, with the booking and the gear already handled.

  4. 4

    Onto the Blanco

    Then down to the Blanco River for kayaking, with the boats, the paddles and a guide provided. Your driver shuttles the gear between stops so nobody carries anything.

  5. 5

    Beer Ranch Project to close

    Dry off and finish at Beer Ranch Project on Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley. The adults grab a pint, everyone else grabs a bite, and the day winds down a short drive from where we picked you up.

    Then we drive everybody home, which is the entire point of hiring us.

No surprises

What the expedition costs.

Two things set your price: which vehicle you choose, and how many of you are riding. Designated Driver, where we drive your own vehicle, is a flat rate and the most economical way to do the day. Premium and Luxury cost more because we are supplying the vehicle.

Pricing is being finalized

Expedition pricing is being confirmed while we finalize the zip line and kayak costs. Tell the AI planner your group size, your date and the vehicle class and it returns an instant quote. Per person pricing falls as the group grows, because the driver and vehicle cost the same either way.

Five hour day, 10 AM to 3 PM. The zip line, kayak rental, guide and gear transport are included, along with gas, tolls and bottled water. Vehicle class, from Designated Driver to Premium and Luxury, is picked when you book.

What gets added

  • Texas sales tax 8.25 percent on premium and luxury bookings, because those are a taxable amusement service in Texas. Designated driver bookings are not taxed, because we are driving your own vehicle and that is transportation.
  • Gratuity 20 percent, added automatically at six guests or more, and it goes straight to your driver.
  • Extra hours billed at ninety percent of the hourly rate, so a longer day gets cheaper by the hour.
  • Add ons charcuterie from $35, refreshment cooler $25, decoration package $45.

Full payment is required to book an expedition. There is no deposit, and your date is reserved the moment you pay.

How much does a Texas expedition cost?

On a per person day the number falls as you fill the seats, because the driver and vehicle cost the same either way. Texas sales tax of 8.25 percent applies to premium and luxury bookings but not to designated driver bookings, and a 20 percent gratuity is added automatically at six guests or more.

What is on the expedition day?

Three stops. A zip line session, kayaking the Blanco River with the boats, paddles and a guide provided, and Beer Ranch Project in Wimberley to close. The zip line, kayak rental, guide, gear transport, professional driver and Airbnb pickup are all included.

What is the minimum age and group size?

Ages 11 and up, and groups of 7 to 14. Above 14 we run multiple vehicles. The day suits active adults, teens and families.

What should we bring and wear?

Water shoes or sandals that stay on, a change of clothes, a towel and sunscreen. We carry all the adventure gear, and bottled water is on board all day.

Where do you pick up?

Door to door across Wimberley and the Blanco River area, and we come to you. Pickup time counts toward your five hour block, so groups further out often add an hour.

Can you just drop us off and pick us up?

Yes, and it is one of the most common things we do. Tell the planner whether you want a drop off only, a pickup only, both ends of a float, or your driver to stay with the group all day. A put in and takeout shuttle is usually the cheapest way to run a river day, because we are not holding the vehicle idle for five hours. If somebody in the group would rather not get in the water at all, that is fine too, the vehicle is yours either way.

How far in advance should we book?

Forty eight hours minimum, and more in the busy spring and summer months when the zip line and river slots fill up.
